2017
In 2017 I had the pleasure of working on the redesign of LOOKLIVE. The primary focus was to help users navigate seamlessly to purchase items on third party fashion sites. Some ways to support this was showing fashion inspiration through the medium of celebrities and influencers.
My role in this project was leading the early stage concepts and wireframing through visual polish and high fidelity wireframes. Today the designs can be seen on the current LOOKLIVE website.

What is the peoples problem?
I sat with some engineers to understand what exactly the user problems we were trying to solve. We agreed that things like “click through” rate was an interesting metric, but ultimately felt that it was important that users life would be better once the designs changed.
Help users navigate seamlessly to third party page to purchase item.
Help user discover looks in to make informed decisions to purchase.
Design Principles
As I iterated and got feedback. I developed some principles that I knew my final solution should embody. This helped dictate design direction and helped shape the feeling of the project.
Saying “Hey!”, rather than “Here you go”
Throughout the design process I worked very closely with the engineers. Building that relationship would be a tremendous help once we started to build the project and layout all the technical constraints that may occur. Coming from a background in development, we were able to understand our abilities immediately to get the best optimal solutions.
